Cambodia Gambling Dens

[ English ]

There is a fascinating history to the Cambodia casinos that reside just over the border from nearby Thailand, in which gambling hall gambling is illegal. Eight gambling halls are established in a generally small area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling dens is in a perfect spot, a 3 to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing capital acquired from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of restrictions requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; still, financing sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 17:00, and even though visas are supposedly required to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is accurate of most borders.
